ASTM A182 F304L
ASTM A182 Gr F304L material is a specification for forged stainless steel pipe flange for high-temperature service. It is a forging material which is used to manufacture bare forging or forged and machined products which involves application for high temperature service. ASTM A182 F304L is the most versatile and widely used stainless steel. It is also referred by its old name 18/8 which is derived from the nominal composition of 304L stainless steel being 18% chromium and 8% nickel. It is a low carbon version of stainless steel 304. Stainless Steel 304L Flanges is a method of connecting pipes, pumps, valves, and other tool to form a piping system. It can be preferably used in environments sufficiently corrosive to cause intergranular corrosion of welds and heat-affected zones on susceptible alloys. 304L Stainless Steel Flanges provides good oxidation resistance in intermittent service to 1600°F and in continuous service to 1690°F. It can be usually welded or screwed.
UNS S30403 Slip On Flange is mainly a ring that is put over the pipe end, with the flange face expanding from the end of the pipe by enough distance to apply a weld bead on the inside diameter. The outer diameter of it is also welded on the back side of the flange. SS 304 Blind Flanges is a solid flange. The purpose of the flange is to block off a section of pipe or a nozzle on a vessel that is not in use. It is a solid disk used to block off a pipeline or to create a stop. It has a mounting hole around the perimeter and the gasket sealing rings which are machined into the mating surface. ASTM A182 Gr F304L Pipe Flange is more resistant to carbide precipitation and can be heated into the above temperature range. It exhibit excellent resistance to corrosive environment such as the petroleum, chemical and textile industries and is also suitable for food and dairy industries.
ASME SA 182 F304L Weld Neck Flanges provide high structural strength along with stress distribution. It consists of a circular fitting with a peeked rim around the circumference. It is generally machined from a forging and is usually butt welded to a pipe. It hardness and strength can be achieved through cold working. 304 SS Lap Joint Flanges is popular in both piping and duct system design. It is similar to slip on flange. It is a two-element assembly, with a stub end that has a lap-joint ring flange placed over it and is especially utilized for large or hard-to-adjust flanges. It becomes very ductile in annealed condition and can be cold worked easily by deep drawing, roll forming, bending and other common methods of manufacturing. 304L Stainless Steel Plate and Forged Flanges are used as a linking part to create a pipework network for cylinders, pumps, valves, and other devices. It is commonly used for usage in high-pressure applications. ASTM A182 Grade F304L Threaded Flanges can be attached without welding it. It is been often used for small diameter, high pressure requirements. It is utilized with the pipes which has external threads. Stainless Steel 304L Socket weld Flanges contain a shoulder inside the flange that behave as a guide to set the depth at which the pipe is welded to the flange. It needs less space than a standard weld neck flange and is less common but equally effective connection for flanges.
