ASTM A182 Gr F321
ASTM A182 F321 is a forging material specification which is been used for manufacturing bare forgings or forged and machined products for applications which involves high temperature service. A182 F321 Material is a stabilized stainless steel which offers as its main advantage an excellent resistance to intergranular corrosion following exposure to temperatures in the chromium carbide precipitation range from 800 to 1500°F. ASTM A182 Gr F321 is stabilized against chromium carbide formation by the addition of titanium.
ASTM A182 F321 is a choice for applications in the temperature range of up to about 900 °C with combining high strength, scaling resistance and phase stability with resistance to subsequent aqueous corrosion. A182-F321 has higher carbon content which provides improved high-temperature strength. It has a good oxidation resistance in intermittent service to 900 °C and in continuous service to 925 °C. It performs well in a range 425-900 °C, and especially where subsequent aqueous corrosive conditions are available. It has higher hot strength and is particularly suitable for high-temperature structural applications.
SA182 F321 has an excellent weldability and can be easily welded by all standard fusion methods, both with and without filler metals and it not need post weld heat treatment. ASTM A182 Grade F321 also possesses good low temperature toughness and is non-magnetic in the annealed condition. SA 182 F321 is useful for the applications such as chemical processing, food processing, aerospace, petroleum refining, pharmaceutical production, etc.
321H Stainless Steel Flanges are a technique of connecting pipes, valves, pumps and other tool to form a piping system. It also offers easy access for inspection, cleaning, or modification. It is usually welded or screwed. ASTM A182 F321H Stainless Steel Flangesare made by bolting together two flanges with a gasket between them to provide a seal. It is an austenitic material which can be stabilized by the addition of Titanium. It can be usually utilized for applications in temperatures up to 1,650 ℉. SS 321H Blind Flange is a flange that does not have a hub or a bored center. It has a face thickness of a flange, a matching face type, and similar bolting pattern. It can be used to seal a nozzle opening on a pressure vessel. It has high strength, resistance to scaling, and phase stability, with resistance to subsequent aqueous corrosion. Stainless Steel 321H Socket weld Flanges is usually used on smaller sizes of high pressure pipes. It is been attached by inserting the pipe into the socket end and applying fillet weld around the top. This help for a better flow and smooth bore of the fluid or gas inside of the pipe.
SA 182 F321H Weld Neck Flanges contains a circular fitting with a peek rim around the circumference. Usually machined from a forging, which is typically butt welded to a pipe. ASTM A182 Gr F321H Slip on and Lap Joint Flanges consists of two parts, a stub end and the backing flange. It slides over the pipe and the stub end is the connection where the gasket sits. ASTM A182 321H Threaded Flanges is the special type of flanges which can be attached to the pipe without welding the flange. It is threaded in the bore which matches an external thread on the pipe. It is just like a slip-on pipe flanges that are used with pipes that have external threads. It can be used where small diameter and high pressure is required. UNS S32109 Orifice Flanges is used in combination with orifice meters to measure the flow rate of oil, gas and other liquids conveyed by the pipeline. ASTM A182 321H SS Long Weld Neck Flanges use a long, tapered hub that increases the thickness of pipe from the weld all the way to the face of the flange. This design ensures that the stress created internally by the flow of high-pressure liquid is transferred to the pipe, thus reduces the stress on the flange itself.
