ASTM A193 Grade B16 Bolts
A193 B16 is a standard material specification for alloy steel bolting under ASTM A193, for usage at high temperature, high tensile and for exceptional applications. B16 Bolt is a mechanical fastener that is commonly used with a nut for connecting two or more elements together. The joint can be easily disassembled and reassembled and hence for this reason bolts or screw fasteners are used to a greater extent than any other type of mechanical fastener. A193 B16 Bolts consists of a head and a cylindrical body with screw threads along a portion of its length.
ASTM A193 B16 is a nickel chromium alloy by means of having an accumulation of aluminum content for its outstanding resistance to corrosion and other related forms of soaring temperature oxidization. B16 Bolts is extremely resistant to corrosion through high temperature even under stern thermal cycling. B16 Studs is being used in various chemical industries which are obtainable at cost effective rates. A193 Gr B16 is similar to A193 Gr B7 but the addition of vanadium enhances its holding capacity at high temperature. B16 Bolt Material is a heat treated chromium molybdenum vanadium alloy steel with tensile strength of 860(MPa) maximum, yield strength of 725(MPa) maximum and 35HRC hardness. SA 193 B16 is suitable for applications up to 450°C. B16 Stud Bolts are used in various numbers of industrial applications to join parts, equipment, flanges and permanent fixtures. It is available in a wide range of sizes and lengths, in double end and tap end configurations. It is also available with full body and cut thread bolts. It is strong, reliable and provides high performance.
