ASTM A572 Grade 50
astm a572 grade 50 is useful in making buildings, construction, bridges, equipment machinery, truck parts, transmission towers, towers, and freight cars. It is a higher yield and tensile strength compared to ASTM A36.
hshr plate astm a572 grade 50 is a high strength, low alloy steel plate that offers an optimum combination of strength, weldability and notch toughness with economy.
post-weld heat treatment of sa572 grade 50 may degrade heat-affected zone strength and toughness. Pretesting of specific welding and post-weld heat-treating procedures is suggested to assure perfection of final property levels.
ASTM A572 Grade 50 Steel Plate
It is for a high-strength, low alloy (HSLA), hot rolled structural steel plate. A low alloy carbon steel plate, it has a flat, clean surface. And has excellent formability and weldability characteristic. It can be cut with oxy-acetylene, plasma, laser, and water jet, and with abrasive cut off saws. With conventional equipment and carbide tools techniques drilling, countersinking, counter boring, milling, tapping, and general machining can be done. A572 Gr 60 steel has excellent weldability and can be welded with simple techniques and common consumables such as E7018.
A572 Grade 60 Plate
astm a572 grade 60 is used for structural steel shapes in the construction of building, bridges or similar structures. It can be joined by bolting, riveting or welding. It is like AISI 8615 low alloy steel and has fair machinability. It is more difficult to form because it contains more alloying elements than plain carbon steel. And it is more difficult to cold work than ordinary plain carbon steel. It requires more force than for plain carbon steel in order to get bent or shaped successfully.
Astm A572 Grade 42 Plate
In ASTM standard A572 Grade 42 materials are belongs to High Tensile Low alloy steel. It also can be called High Tensile Low alloy Ni-V steel. And it is widely used in engineering structures, such as construction machinery, building steel, trucks, bridges, mining machinery, pressure vessels, especially for welding and toughness requirements of the construction and engineering machinery part.
Astm A572 Grade 45 Plate
It is slightly higher carbon and manganese content plain carbon steel than 1020. It is useful for its greater strength while still having good ductility. It is typically used for moderate strength structural applications such as cold formed bolts and fasteners. It is frequently used in the case hardened condition. It can be readily formed by conventional means and has good ductility. It gets harden from cold work or by heat treat, temper and quench.
ASTM A572 grade 65 plate
It is useful for riveted or bolted construction of bridges or for riveted, bolted, or welded construction in other applications. A 572/A 572M A572Gr65 steel plate has minimum yield strength at 450 Mpa and tensile strength above 550 Mpa. Compared with A572Gr60 steel, A572 Gr.65 steel plate has a more yield and tensile strength
ASTM A572 Grade 70 Plate
It is a carbon steel useful for the service in welded pressure vessels for moderate and low temperature service. It has yield strength 32 (ksi) and yield strength 220(MPa). It has a tensile strength 60-80(ksi) and tensile strength 415-550(MPa). SA516 grade 70 has a minimum elongation in 200 mm of 17% and the minimum elongation in 50mm is 21%.
