ASTM A790 UNS S32760
ASTM A790 UNS S32760 is a super duplex grade which contains 25% chromium, 4% molybdenum and 7% nickel in its composition. The composition makes the pipe stronger and corrosion resistant. The SA 790 UNS S32760 is therefore used in acidic environments where corrosion is high. It could also be used under high pressure environment due to its high strength. In addition the Super Duplex 32760 Pipe can be used under high temperatures without deforming the piping due to its low thermal expansion rate. The duplex is divided into three different groups based on the chromium, molybdenum and nickel contents in the alloy. The super duplex and lean duplex are less common compared to the ordinary duplex group. The Super Duplex UNS S32760 Pipe belonging to the super duplex group is used in desalination plants, valves and pumps, sea water systems, subsea pipework systems and in heat exchangers. Because of the high corrosion resistance of the pipes, they are a cost effective solution for a long term usage.
The Duplex S32760 Seamless Pipe is cold drawn and could be hardened by cold working after production. Like the cold drawn ones, there are hot rolled and welded pipes. The ASTM A790 UNS S32760 Welded Pipe is stronger than the cold drawn seamless pipes in general. They are easy to weld upon as well. The SA 790 UNS S32760 Tube produced less carbide precipitation which in turn avoids intergranular corrosion. So the Duplex S32760 UNS Seamless Pipe is also resistant to localized corrosion after welding. There are different shapes and types of these pipes used in different needs and for different purposes. The SA790 S32760 UNS Bush Hex Pipe is such a special case. The electric resistance welded UNS S32760 Stainless Steel ERW Pipe is one of the common application of super duplex grade steel pipes.
