DIN EN 10296-2
Welded circular steel tubes are generally less expensive due to the simpler manufacturing process. It is easily available in in long continuous lengths. It is useful for automotive industry, architectural applications, pharmaceutical industry, food and beverage industry and marine industry. DIN EN 10296-2 is a heat resisting steel for circular welded tubes for mechanical and general engineering purposes. Its properties and yield strength considerably decrease as it absorbs heat when it exposed to high temperatures. EN 10296-2 high frequency welded pipe is resistant to scaling at temperatures higher than 500 deg C. It is meant for use at temperatures higher than 500 deg C. Since it has good strength at this temperature and is especially resistant to short and long term exposure to hot gases and combustion products at temperature higher than 500 deg C. It is a solid solution strengthened alloy steels. It is used over a certain broad temperature ranges and it is usually strengthened by hard mechanism of heat treatment, solid solution and precipitation. It is composed of various alloying elements for the purpose of achieving the desired properties and is used in applications where resistance to increased temperatures is critical.
