EN 10025 S355j2

S355J2 plate is medium tensile, low carbon manganese steel which is readily weldable and provides good impact resistance. It is commonly supplied in the untreated or normalized condition. The machinability of 1.0577 material is similar to mild steel.
1.0577 is EN numeric designation of the grade. 1.0577 is the non-alloy carbon steel which is defined in the EN 10025 system, which comes after 1.0038 in its importance within the non-alloy structural steels. It is generally formed into products in wrought state.
S355J2 z35 are based on S355J2 with increased steel plate thickness direction performance requirements, that is, Z performance. The meaning of S355J2-Z35 steel: J2 requires a negative 20 degree impact, and Z35 is the Z-direction performance of the steel plate

S355J2 EN 10025 is a structural steel grade with minimum yield strength of 355 N/mm² which is been widely used in industries of construction and engineering. It provides high tensile and yield strength and it is supplied with a variety of treatments in order to guarantee that it is highly usable in various projects.

S355J2 steel is a micro alloyed structural steel suitable for e.g. mechanical engineering applications which offers a good weldability with max CEV =0.47 for all variants.

EN 10025 S355j2 is hot rolled, unalloyed quality steel which is a high strength fine grained steel for dynamic loaded welding constructions. Dimensioning advantages in respect to is due to the 120 MPa higher yield strength.

bs en 10025 S355J2 shows by 15% higher resistance to mineral wear due to sliding action in comparison to S235J2. It is not intended for heat treatment.

en S355J2 material is a low carbon, high tensile strength structural steel and it can be easily welded to other weldable steel and due to its low carbon content it provides good cold forming properties

S355j2n is useful in various industrial application such as shipbuilding, power plant, oil and gas platforms, transmission towers, dump trucks, cranes, trailers, bulldozers, excavators, forestry machinery, railway wagons, highway bridges, building structures, offshore structures, and port equipment’s.
