It has satisfactory weldability, there is a possibility of cracks forming a long welds. It has high strength of 550MPa minimum tensile strength and 420MPa minimum yield strength. It has less carbon with relatively high manganese which makes it better for forming. It can be welded with filler materials and preheating.In order to avoid welding cracks post weld heat treatment can be done. It is cost effective and can be used in high corrosive and high heat applications
