EN 10216-2 P235GH
EN 10216-2 P235GH is an European specified steel for use in boilers, heat exchangers and pressure vessels. It is heat-resistant non-alloy quality steel for application in steam boiler and pressure vessel construction. The application maximum temperature is approx. 400 °C.
EN 10216-2 P235GH TC1 Alloy Steel Seamless Tubes composition of it makes it ideal for applications where elevated working temperatures are the norm and the material is used by fabricators throughout the petrochemical, oil and gas industry. It has properties such as good corrosion resistance at high strength, good sulfide stress corrosion resistance, and higher resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking and can be easy to weld and conform.
1.0345 p235gh carbon steel seamless tube is also a heat resistant pressure vessel steel. It is similar to P265GH but with the lower carbon content and on the other hand with higher manganese content. It has lower yield and tensile strength compared with P265GH. It is designed for high-temperature applications.
1.0345 carbon steel material is said to have good cold working as well as hot working characteristics. Hence it can be used in pipes transporting hot liquids. The machinability of it is similar to that of mild steel.
EN 10216-2 P235GH TC1 is also a key consumable material for boilers and pressurized vessels. However, any manufacturer who is using this material for any application of intense pressure should work out all possibilities in the design calculations.
