Hastelloy Pipe

Hastelloy Pipe

Hastelloy Pipe suppliers sell different grades of Hastelloy materials and pipes. Hastelloy is a nickel molybdenum chromium superalloy that has tungsten added into the composition. It is very much resistant to pitting corrosion and crevice corrosion. The material composition also makes the pipes very stronger. The pipes are used mostly in chemical processing applications. There are also sheets, bars and plates available in the material. The pipes could either be hot rolled, electric resistant welded or cold drawn. The cold drawn ones are seamless. The Hastelloy Alloy Seamless Pipes are used with other fittings and pipes that are precise in dimensions. The seamless pipes have less deviation in their wall thickness and surface so that they have less resistance to fluid flow inside the pipes. There are also welded pipes. The Hastelloy Welded Pipe is stronger and could be welded upon installation.

Most chemical applications would require the pipes to be welded. The nature and mechanical properties of the Hastelloy Seamless Pipes make it applicable in chemical industry for process plants. The Hastelloy Steel Pipes are corrosion resistant against most chemicals and it can withstand high temperatures as well. The addition of tungsten along with the annealing procedure makes the pipes even stronger with high tensile strength. The Hastelloy Annealed Pipes can withstand cryogenic temperatures as well as very high temperatures. The thermal expansion rate of the Hastelloy Hot Finished Pipes are very less so that it does not deform under high temperatures. This High Temperature Hastelloy SMLS Pipes very much applicable in heated applications because the nickel component is very much resistant against grain boundary precipitates under high temperatures. The High Temp Hastelloy Round Pipe is the most used in this category, but there are other types as well. There are different grades such as the c276 and the c22.
