High Hub Blind Flange

High Hub Blind Flange is used to close ends of piping systems. It is a type of round plate with no center hold but with all the proper bolt holes. This hub blind flange is available in various sizes and materials and is used to offer a positive closer on the ends of pipes, valves or equipment nozzles. It helps in easy access to a line once it has been sealed. The High Hub Flange is sometime custom made or machined to accept a nominal sized pipe to which reduction is being made. This reduction can be a welded or threaded. High Flange Hubs are available in different materials such as stainless steel, alloy steel, carbon steel, duplex steel, nickel alloy and copper alloy.

What is a High Hub Flange?
It is also known as weld neck and tapered hub flange. It has two design the regular type is used with pipes and the long type is is used in process plant. Hubbed Flange is used in chemical and petrochemical processing, electronics, processing equipment for maintaining product purity in handling foods, synthetic fibers and in marine and offshore engineering. On the whole the factors like internal pressure and bolt loading especially in the larger sizes are the most highly stressed of all types of flanges. It is suitable for use in hostile environments that have extremes of temperature, pressure or other sources of stress.
