Inconel 600 Plate

Inconel 600 Plate

Often referred to as an oxidation resistant grade alloy, these Inconel 600 Plate exhibit many other advantageous properties. Known by its trade name Inconel 600 is also sold under terms such as Nickel 600, Alloy 600, Nickelvac 600 as well as Ferrochronin 60. Apart from being one of the widest used plate across several industries, this nickel chromium based Alloy 600 Plate is usually available in sheet, coil & strips.

Many of our clients prefer using the ASTM B168 UNS N06600 Sheet at cryogenic temperature settings right up to an elevated temperature point of about 2000 °F. This is because, at elevated temperatures, the content of nickel present in the Inconel 600 Sheet is what aids the alloy in retaining its corrosion resistance properties. This corrosion resistance property has been noticed even in the presence of a reductive condition, where the Alloy 600 Sheet has the ability to resist corrosion by a number of organic as well as inorganic compounds. At cryogenic temperatures, unlike certain conventionally used stainless steel grade plates, the ASME SB 168 UNS N06600 Strips does not undergo a ductile to the brittle transition phase. Generally, the very versatile Inconel 600 strip is available in any size or choose from one of our stock sizes up to 3m long.
