SB 163 N04400 is a group of nickel alloys, primarily composed of nickel up to 67 % and copper, with small amounts of silicon, manganese, iron and carbon.

Alloy 400 Tubes can be readily hot worked, with lower forces than many steels. It can be easily cold formed, with forces between those of carbon steel and stainless steel 304 grade.
2.4360 (Alloy 400) Tube can be welded using conventional welding techniques such as gas metal arc welding, plasma arc welding, shielded metal arc welding and gas tungsten arc welding. Pre heat, post heat and post weld heat treatment are not required.
Hot forming SB-163 Tube Material can be performed at temperatures 649 - 1177°C and can be cold-worked by using all cold fabrication methods.
