Stainless Steel 317L Pipe
Aesteiron is a highly acclaimed Stainless Steel 317L Pipe supplier, which are readily available with us in all finishes and sizes. Stainless Steel 317L Pipes is a low carbon austenitic stainless steel version of Type 317 that provides corrosion resistance. It provides features such as good formability and weldability, resistance to chemical attack from acids, resistance to sensitization when welded.Grade 317L also provides resistance to sensitization when welded and higher creep, stress to rupture, and tensile strength at elevated temperatures, due to its low carbon content. In the annealed condition it is non-magnetic but after welding may become slightly magnetic. ASTM A312 TP317L machining needs constant feeds and low speeds to reduce its tendency to work harden. It can be welded by using most of the resistance and conventional fusion methods.
317L welded Pipe is commonly used to handle paper and pulp equipment, food processing equipment, chemical and petrochemical processing equipment, textile equipment, etc. Its hardenability can be reduced if constant feeds and low speeds are used. 317 stainless steel pipes is modified version of 316 stainless steel and it is tougher than 304 stainless steel. And this is due to the high percentage of iron in its composition, which is higher as compared to other stainless steel. It provides high strength and corrosion resistance. It is welded using fusion and resistance methods. For this alloy oxyacetylene welding method is not preferred. astm a312 tp 317 can be hot worked by using hot working procedures. At 1010-1121°C it is annealed by cooling. It does not react to heat treatment can be hardened by cold working.
