Super Duplex Bolts
Super Duplex 2507 fasteners mechanically joints or attach two or more objects together. It used to create non-permanent joints; that is, joints that can be removed or disassemble without damaging the joining elements. It has excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking and excellent general corrosion resistance which are superior to virtually all other stainless steels. The high strength favors applications in pressure vessels and for marine and other shafts
It has high resistance to intergranular corrosion and very high resistance to stress corrosion cracking in both chloride and sulphide environments. If becomes embrittled this can only be rectified by a full solution annealing treatment.
Super Duplex fasteners are available in a wide range and they are screws, nails, nuts, bolts, anchor, rivets and washer. Most super duplex stainless steel fasteners are covered by specifications that define required mechanical properties such as tensile strength, yield strength, proof load, and hardness. Its ductility is quite adequate for most operations, but heavy deformation, such as cold forging, is not possible. Its mechanical properties and its functional performance could be affected to the elevated temperatures. Hot forging can be carried out in the temperature range 1200 – 1025°C.Super Standard fasteners are basic industrial fasteners such as cap screws, plow bolts, carriage bolts, square and hex bolts, lag screws, nuts, studs, rivets and etc. which have been standardized over the years as to usage, type, style, properties, tolerances and dimensions. Whereas super duplex modern industrial fasteners are manufactured to a variety of standards covers tolerances, materials, dimensions, testing procedures, mechanical properties, etc.
