Titanium Grade 2 Round Bar

Titanium Grade 2 Round Baris a pure alpha titanium round bar. With moderate strength and excellent corrosion resistance and formability, represents the most widely used form of titanium.

grade 2 titanium hex bar is typically available in the annealed condition and is readily heat treatable to increase strength, for a wide range of applications. For most applications it is typically alloyed with 6% of aluminum and 4% of vanadium, respectively, by weight.

Compared to the other grades of titanium rod, grade 2 titanium rod is slightly weaker than Grade 3, but stronger than Grade 1 and equally resistant to corrosion. It is non-magnetic in nature. These properties are versatile in regard to its applications.

It is highly resistant to chemical environments including oxidizing media, organic acids, alkaline media, and compounds, aqueous salt solutions and hot gases. Its corrosion resistance holds up in liquid metals, nitric acid, bromine gas, mildly reducing acids and wet chlorine.
